Being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs we will ever endure.  Unfortunately, there is no simple manual that we can order from Amazon on how to raise an exceptional (or at least a well-behaved) human being. That being said, I have spent the past 18 years studying, practicing, and working with families who are focused on strengthening the building blocks of their child's future.

I am a Mom, Speech-Language Pathologist, and certified School Building and District Leader who is passionate about strengthening the power of communication.  The first years of childhood help to create a strong foundation for a child's future, and it is imperative that we support this foundation by building our little one’s communication, academic, and social experiences.

I received my BS and MS in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from Northeastern University, in Boston Massachusetts, where I started my career.  I have achieved a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech and Hearing Association, which is a nationally recognized professional credential that represents a level of excellence in the field of Speech-Language Pathology.  I am PROMPT trained and utilize evidenced based practices throughout my treatment to achieve optimal progress. In addition, I have had extensive experience working directly with school aged children and have achieved the NYS certificate for Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) for Speech-Language Pathologists.

For my youngest clients, much of my focus and session goals are attained through a client-directed format with the use of play therapy. Play is an integral part of a child’s day and how a child learns and discovers the world.  By utilizing play, I can maintain attention and focus for longer period of time which leads to a steady rate of progress.

With my background knowledge, expertise, and passion I will provide support and strategies to both you and your child to ease at least small portion of the stresses that come with raising an exceptional (or like we said, at least well-mannered 😊) human being.

I look forward to enriching your child's world!
